Rapid Tramadol Test is an immunochromatography based one step in vitro test. It is designed for qualitative determination of the tramadol and its metabolites in human urine specimens at cut-off level of 200 ng/ml. This assay has not been evaluated in the point of care location and is for use by Healthcare Professionals only.
Tramadol (TRA), a centrally acting opioid analgesic, is a narcotic-like pain reliever and utilized in the treatment of moderate to moderately severe pain. While the drug has many champions in the medical community it’s not without its share of side effects, some of them serious. Those side effects include but are necessarily limited to constipation, nausea, itchy skin and reduced alertness. Tramadol features a half-life of approximately 6.3 hours, but it can take up to a day and a half for the substance to be completely eliminated from the body.
